Caitlin Clark has made history. Again.

The Iowa women's basketball star — in a season where she already has passed Kelsey Plum and Pete Maravich to top the NCAA's career scoring record — set another, single-season mark in the Hawkeyes' Big Ten Women's Tournament game vs. Penn State.

With her first 3-pointer of Friday's game — which came in the fourth quarter — Clark hit her 163rd 3-pointer of the 2023-24 basketball season. With that shot, she broke the NCAA single-season record for most made 3s. She passed former Davidson standout and Warriors legend Steph Curry and Liberty guard Darius McGhee, both of whom made 162 3s in the 2007-08 and 2022-23 college basketball seasons, respectively.

Clark entered Friday's game vs. the Nittany Lions tied with Curry and McGhee with 162 made 3s this season (out of 412 attempts — an impressive 39.3% shooting clip). She now owns the outright NCAA record.

Clark spoke on her achievement after the game, and her appreciation of Curry, who originally set the mark in 2007-08:

"Took me a while but that's what makes it fun," Clark said after the game on the Big Ten Network telecast. "Some of the best shooters in the world, they have off nights like that from the 3-point line, but they all felt good and that's all you can ask. Steph is amazing, and someone that I grew up idolizing, so a pretty cool moment and we're excited that we get maybe two more games in this building in front of our fans."
